If you have a sump guard under your motorcycle you may need to remove it. Every now and then, you will find a mechanic who thinks the oil drain bolt should be tightened with an impact gun. I had a coupon for a free oil change that i used a few weeks ago.

It doesn't take much tightening to get these in so firmly they are nearly impossible to remove next time you need to open them. Drain plugs have no load to cause them to loosen so a smidge past finger tight is enough. For an additional option, you can put a wrap or two of teflon tape on the threads of the drain plug and tighten it up.
