I know it's behind the filter but i just need to know how to do it and what tools to use. Removing and replacing the air filter will be different for each motorcycle. Replaces factory airbox and filter. After a number of tests it seems the factory air intake may be a little quicker. Comes with filter and air box. The process is like replacing your panel filter (check youtube, threads here, etc), but you'll be removing your entire airbox.

I dont want to hack it out and it turn out that the us spec needs this for some ecu issue. But does it really have to flow that much? Have you derestricted your airbox/filter and/or added an aftermarket exhaust without reprogramming your fuel map?

I have been searching the forum all day, is it the common practice to remove the airbox restrictor? The stock airbox made more power and was safer for tuning. I looked at it today and see no problem with just shaving off where the duct comes in because the duct is the most major restriction on flow.

That could lean out your mixture to the point the computer and fuel injection can't compensate without a. So i just almost burnt my entire airbox just to get the **** airfilter out. Here is why i suggest this.

Has anyone just made their stock airbox flow better as opposed to getting an intake. Once the airbox is completely out and the cone is installed where do i put. Reinstalling the box should be easy enough in the reverse order.
